Because they’ve conquered and mistreated it, it’s believed to be devastated. Yet, the Mediterranean remains a living sea, still waiting to be explored. In its depths lie vast and rich territories that humans barely know: coralligenous reefs. These biodiversity hotspots, as beautiful as coral reefs, are found in the “twilight zone,” between 60 and 120 meters deep, where less than 1% of light reaches.
