Planète Méditerranée – Laurent Ballesta
Can we still create new images in the Mediterranean? Because humans have traveled there for millennia, it’s thought to hold no secrets. Because they’ve conquered and mistreated it, it’s believed to be devastated. Yet, the Mediterranean remains a living sea, still waiting to be explored. In its depths lie vast and rich territories that humans barely know: coralligenous reefs. These biodiversity hotspots, as beautiful as coral reefs, are found in the “twilight zone,” between 60 and 120 meters deep, where less than 1% of light reaches.
