Sylvain Tesson accompanied him on his last trip in February 2018 and lent him his pen for the first time. Previously, he travelled to Central Asia and the Himalayas on several occasions. A geographer by training, journalist and travel writer, he divided his life between long-distance expeditions, writing and making adventure documentaries. This book is accompanied by a black and white travel journal, Tibet, promesse de l’invisible (sold separately and available here).
