In 2021, Guillaume Bonn is one of the photographers involved in the project Africa State of Mind: Contemporary Photography Reimagines a Continent, published by Thames & Hudson and by Textuel in its French version in October 2020 under the title Africa 21e siècle. Contemporary African Photography, and exhibited at Rencontres d’Arles in 2021.

Paradise Inc. is a continuation of this work, this time presented in its entirety.
For a very long time, the photographer has been exploring the idea of “Africanness” – a psychological space as much as a physical territory, a state of mind as much as a geographical location.
This book is his declaration of love for Africa, and an expression of his fear that it might one day disappear.
